You have 5+ years of front-end and design experience, or specific design engineering experience — you thrive in startup environments where speed and iteration are key. Your mastery of React, Shadcn, and Tailwind CSS allows you to create clean, efficient interfaces that enhance user interaction with complex AI systems. You possess a solid understanding of accessibility and component-driven architecture, ensuring that your designs are not only functional but also inclusive. Your experience includes building design systems and UI libraries, which you implement with precision and attention to detail. You are comfortable collaborating with designers to translate Figma files into pixel-perfect code, ensuring that the final product aligns with the original vision. You are proactive in contributing to front-end standards across both internal and client projects, fostering a culture of quality and excellence.

What you'll do

As a Design Engineer at G2i, you will be responsible for building and documenting UI components using React, Shadcn, and Tailwind CSS. You will collaborate closely with designers to ensure that the transition from design to code is seamless, translating Figma files into high-quality, functional interfaces. Your role will involve implementing and maintaining design systems in Storybook and Chromatic, ensuring that all components are accessible, performant, and responsive. You will contribute to the development of front-end standards that enhance the quality of both internal and client projects, ensuring that best practices are followed. Your work will directly impact how users interact with AI systems, making complex functionalities intuitive and user-friendly. You will also engage in regular code reviews and provide feedback to peers, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages growth and learning.
