You are a hybrid Design Engineer with a passion for both frontend engineering and product design. You thrive at the intersection of these disciplines, enjoying the process of taking ideas from rough sketches to polished, production-ready components. Your portfolio showcases your ability to create elegant software for complex systems, demonstrating your strong design skills alongside your technical expertise.

You have experience leading user flows, interaction patterns, and information architecture, ensuring that the user experience is seamless and intuitive. Your proficiency in tools like Figma allows you to create high-fidelity mockups and prototypes that effectively communicate design ideas. You are familiar with design systems and understand how to establish component patterns and guidelines that enhance the overall user experience.

What you'll do

In this role, you will lead the design and UX efforts for new product features, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that the final product meets user needs. You will translate final designs into clean, modular, production-quality React code, building reusable components and frontend logic that enhance the Railblocks web application.

You will participate in user research and usability testing, iterating on designs based on feedback to refine UX decisions. Your collaboration with backend engineers will ensure smooth integration of APIs, maintaining high standards of accessibility, performance, and maintainability throughout the development process.

You will also help shape the frontend architecture, making decisions about state management, styling approaches, and component structure. Your experience with modern full-stack frameworks and tools like Storybook will be invaluable as you contribute to the development of a robust and scalable platform.
