Who you are
You hold a Bachelorβs degree in accounting or a related field, and you understand the importance of maintaining confidentiality in financial matters. You are accurate and thorough in your work, consistently monitoring for errors and ensuring that all financial records are precise. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications, especially Excel, is a key strength of yours, allowing you to efficiently handle data and financial reports.
What you'll do
As a Non-profit Accountant at GHJ, you will be responsible for coding all cash receipts into the appropriate accounts and posting these receipts to client accounts. You will also manage write-offs for managed care and assistance program adjustments, diligently following up on any discrepancies. Monthly, you will prepare cash receipts and corresponding payables reports for all contract partners, ensuring that cash receipts are balanced twice a month. You will assist with the annual financial audit as requested and prepare or post journal entries for cost allocations, grants, and monthly accruals. Additionally, you will record cash receipts into the appropriate checkbook and conduct an annual physical inventory of fixed assets while maintaining the fixed asset system.
