GitLab is hiring a Technical Chief of Staff to the CTO to bridge the gap between technical vision and execution. You'll work closely with the CTO and engineering leadership to align technical strategies with product goals. This role is fully remote within the US.

You have a strong background in technology and operations, ideally with experience in software development or engineering leadership. You understand the intricacies of aligning technical vision with business objectives and have a proven track record of driving initiatives that enhance organizational efficiency. Your communication skills are exceptional, allowing you to effectively collaborate with various stakeholders, including executives and engineering teams. You are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and can adapt to changing priorities while maintaining focus on long-term goals.
What you'll do
As the Technical Chief of Staff to the CTO, you will play a pivotal role in scaling the impact of GitLab's engineering leadership. You will partner closely with the CTO and the executive leadership team to ensure that the multi-year technical vision aligns seamlessly with the product strategy. Your responsibilities will include facilitating communication between technical teams and executive leadership, managing key projects, and ensuring that the engineering team is equipped to execute on strategic initiatives. You will also be involved in identifying opportunities for improvement within the engineering processes and implementing solutions that drive efficiency and innovation.
