What you'll do

As a Site Reliability Engineer at GoCardless, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and performance of our payment platform. You will collaborate with various engineering teams to design and implement solutions that enhance system availability and scalability. Your responsibilities will include monitoring system performance, identifying bottlenecks, and optimizing resource utilization. You will also be involved in incident management, working to resolve issues quickly and efficiently while minimizing downtime.

You will contribute to the development of best practices for site reliability, helping to establish a culture of reliability across the organization. This includes creating documentation and training materials to share knowledge with your peers. You will participate in on-call rotations, providing support during incidents and ensuring that systems are restored to normal operation as quickly as possible.

In addition to operational responsibilities, you will have the opportunity to work on strategic projects that drive the company's growth. This may involve collaborating with product teams to understand user needs and translating them into technical requirements.
