Who you are
You have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience and at least 8 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages such as Python, C, C++, Java, or JavaScript. With 7 years of experience building and developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems, or networks, you possess a deep understanding of compute technologies, storage, or hardware architecture. You have spent 5 years in a technical leadership role and have also managed teams for at least 5 years, demonstrating your capability to guide and mentor engineers effectively.
Your experience in a complex, matrixed organization has equipped you with the skills to navigate and lead diverse teams. You are not only technically proficient but also excel in optimizing code and ensuring that your team can do the same. You understand the importance of product strategy and team dynamics, and you are committed to fostering an environment where engineers can thrive.
Desirable
A Masterβs degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field would be a plus, as would experience working in a fast-paced tech environment. Your ability to adapt and evolve with changing technologies and project requirements will set you apart.
What you'll do
As a Senior Engineering Manager at Google, you will lead a team of engineers in the Infrastructure domain, overseeing the development of innovative solutions that enhance security and privacy.
