Who you are

You have experience in electromechanical assembly and system integration, particularly with ESD sensitive electronics and components. Your background includes working with electronic test equipment such as multimeters and oscilloscopes, and you are familiar with script-based software. You possess a strong understanding of technical documentation, enabling you to interpret schematics and wiring diagrams effectively. You are proficient in test automation and scripting languages like Python, SQL, and MATLAB, which are essential for your role in testing and troubleshooting hardware systems.

You hold an Associate’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Your experience includes working with network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and other RF test equipment, which enhances your ability to ensure the functionality and performance of hardware components. You are detail-oriented and maintain accurate records of configurations, tests, and calibrations performed throughout the assembly and testing process.

What you'll do

As a Hardware System Integration Lab Generalist at Google, you will be responsible for assembling, integrating, and testing quantum computing systems. You will collaborate closely with design engineers to provide input on hardware designs, ensuring they meet Google's standards of quality and reliability. Your role will involve using various electronic test equipment to diagnose and troubleshoot issues, interpreting technical documentation and assembly instructions to support your work.

You will design test equipment for prototypes and develop protocols used to scale these tests for the global team. Your contributions will help maintain one of the largest and most powerful computing infrastructures in the world. You will work in a collaborative environment, supporting the overall development, testing, and deployment of systems alongside engineering and other technical teams.
