What you'll do

As a Hardware Integration and Test Intern at Zoox, you will engage in various projects that support the development of autonomous vehicles. You will assist in building analytical and diagnostic tools to identify complex system issues, contributing to the stability and performance of autonomy hardware. Your role will involve supporting hardware debugging through metrics and documentation, ensuring that systems operate reliably.

You will also work on developing test automation and diagnostic tools that facilitate vehicle production — this includes creating software for end-of-line testers and improving electrical test coverage on the manufacturing floor. Your contributions will help streamline manufacturing processes and enhance the overall quality of the vehicles.

In addition, you will perform electrical stress testing and baseline characterization for design validation tests — your analytical skills will be crucial in conducting root cause analysis for any failures encountered during testing. You will develop Python scripts to process large datasets, such as CSVs and CAN logs, to identify patterns and risks, contributing to the testing infrastructure by designing and building custom test assets.
