Who you are

You have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience, along with 5 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products. You possess 1 year of experience with software design and architecture, and you have a strong background in software development with at least 5 years of experience. Your expertise includes working with Kubernetes and programming languages such as Java, C++, Go, and Python, showcasing your full-stack development capabilities. You also hold an active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmentalized Information (TS/SCI) security clearance with polygraph, which is essential for this role.

In addition to your technical skills, you have experience with data structures and algorithms, and you have spent at least 1 year in a technical leadership role. Your preferred qualifications include certifications such as Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD), Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), or Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist (CKS). You are also knowledgeable in AI, deep learning, or natural language processing (NLP), and you have experience developing accessible technologies.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be part of Google Public Sector's Sovereign Mission Solutions team, where you will design, develop, and deploy solutions tailored to the unique needs of public sector clients. You will lead architecture and engineering designs, collaborating with peers and stakeholders to exercise technical judgment in selecting the best technologies for various projects. Your responsibilities will include reviewing code and providing feedback to ensure adherence to best practices, such as style guidelines, accuracy, testability, and efficiency. You will articulate technical concepts and analyses to both technical and non-technical audiences, including engineers and executives, ensuring clear communication across teams.

You will also be involved in building products that leverage Google Cloud technologies, focusing on automation, repeatable patterns, and intelligent insights through advanced data analytics and Generative AI. Your role will require you to stay updated with the latest advancements in technology and apply them to enhance the solutions you develop. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that the products meet the high standards expected by public sector clients, ultimately contributing to the mission of creating opportunities for everyone through technology.
