Who you are

You have 8+ years of experience in product design or UX, demonstrating a strong portfolio that showcases your design capabilities. Your background includes a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience, and you have a deep understanding of user-centered design principles. You are familiar with prompting generative AI models and creating generative media with images and video, which allows you to innovate in your designs. Your experience leading design projects and collaborating with executive leaders sets you apart, as you understand the importance of aligning design with business goals.

You possess hybrid visual and interaction design skills, enabling you to design end-to-end experiences that are both functional and aesthetically pleasing. Your functional prototyping skills, including vibe coding, allow you to test ideas before committing engineering resources, ensuring that your designs are not only creative but also practical. You are passionate about building consumer products that explore AI-first interactions and unique user experiences, driving user adoption of Google AI.

What you'll do

In this role, you will take on the responsibility of envisioning how users will experience Google products, from creating user flows and wireframes to building user interface mockups and prototypes. You will collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams of UX Designers, Researchers, Writers, Content Strategists, Program Managers, and Engineers to ensure that user needs are at the forefront of the design process. Your work will involve leveraging insights from UX research to inform your design output, ensuring that your designs are not only innovative but also grounded in user feedback.

You will lead design projects, guiding your team through the design process and ensuring that all aspects of the user experience are considered. Your ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders will be crucial as you advocate for user-centered design principles within the organization. You will also have the opportunity to mentor junior designers, sharing your expertise and helping them grow in their careers.
