Who you are
You have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience and at least 8 years of experience in software development, with a strong background in embedded operating systems. You have spent 3 years in a technical leadership role and 2 years in people management, demonstrating your ability to lead and develop teams effectively. Your experience includes working with operating systems, embedded systems, firmware, and resource management, showcasing your technical depth in these areas.
You possess a solid understanding of computer architecture and have experience with bootloaders, continuous build, continuous deployment, and continuous testing. Your familiarity with data center architecture and the Linux Kernel further enhances your capability to manage complex software projects. You are adept at navigating a matrixed organization, which allows you to collaborate effectively across various teams.
What you'll do
As a Software Engineering Manager at Google, you will lead a team of engineers in developing server system software, ensuring the technical health of your projects.
