Operations Manager • Lead

Who you are

You have a Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience, along with 5 years of experience in computing infrastructure, networking, operating systems, or hardware. You have spent at least 2 years managing technical teams and are familiar with vendor or contract management and delivery. Your ability to work non-standard hours, including weekends and night shifts, is essential for this role.

Your experience in data center environments is extensive, particularly in building and operating large-scale infrastructure. You have a solid understanding of network and compute architecture, as well as lifecycle management. Your familiarity with Linux/Unix system administration is a key asset, and you have a track record of developing network architecture.

You have successfully initiated and executed strategic initiatives in a global environment, demonstrating your capability to lead and manage projects from initiation to completion. Your leadership skills extend to improving Environmental Health and Safety initiatives, ensuring a safe working environment for your team.

What you'll do

As a Data Center Operations Manager, you will manage a team of Data Center Technicians, overseeing the quality installation of server hardware and components. You will take charge of complicated installations and troubleshooting, ensuring that all operations align with company objectives. Your role will involve effectively communicating business priorities and facilitating hands-off operations to following shift leads.

You will be responsible for hiring, coaching, and developing your team while achieving strategic business goals. Your leadership will foster a collaborative team environment, and you will ensure that data center-related priorities are consistent with company objectives. You will also oversee the implementation of safety culture at the site, ensuring that all team members adhere to safety protocols.
