Job Description
Who you are
You are currently enrolled in compulsory legal training and have completed your first legal state exam. You possess the ability to communicate fluently in both English and German, which is essential for supporting client relationship management in this region. Your experience includes legal analysis and research, and you have a keen interest in technology and IT-relevant legal problems. You thrive in fast-paced environments and are capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
You have a background in data protection, copyright, technology, or media law, which will be beneficial in addressing the diverse legal challenges at Google. Your strong interpersonal skills enable you to build relationships and communicate effectively with individuals at all levels within the organization. You are available to start between October and December 2026 for a fixed-term contract lasting 3-4 months.
What you'll do
As a Legal Trainee, you will be part of the Google regional Legal team, responding to various legal challenges in the information age. You will assist in managing court actions and responding to legal requests from users and third parties related to Google services. Your role will involve participating in the creation and maintenance of internal knowledge databases for the Legal team, enhancing your organizational skills and attention to detail.
You will gain insight into a variety of legal topics, including intellectual property, consumer regulations, media regulations, and advertising. This position offers a unique opportunity to learn about the development of internet law in an unconventional environment, allowing you to demonstrate sound legal judgment and adaptability in a fast-paced setting.
