Who you are
You have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in trade compliance operations in the Middle East, along with 5 years of experience in a customer or client-facing role. Your background includes supervising and managing third-party logistics relationships, and you possess the ability to communicate fluently in Arabic, which is essential for interactions with local stakeholders.
Your experience in a logistics environment, particularly in customs broker and Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) management, sets you apart. You are familiar with ECCN classification regulations and country-specific trade regulations from the Middle East. You thrive in collaborative, cross-functional, and geographically diverse environments, and you have excellent communication skills that enable you to effectively develop and present information to senior management.
What you'll do
As a Logistics Trade Compliance Operations Manager at Google, you will lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. Your role involves managing relationships with multiple internal customers at data centers and recognizing improvement opportunities to enhance the cost or quality of services provided. You will proactively turn these thoughts into documented business cases, present them to your peers and management for approval, and provide ongoing project management.
You will implement EMEA export/import regulations and ensure compliance across all logistics operations. Your ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders will be crucial as you navigate the complexities of trade compliance in the region. You will also be responsible for coordinating with various teams to keep them updated on progress and deadlines, ensuring that all projects align with Google's operational goals.
