You have a strong background in legal and compliance, particularly in managing sanctions compliance programs. Your experience includes working with cross-functional teams to implement compliance processes that are effective and scalable. You are detail-oriented and have a passion for ensuring that compliance measures are integrated into business operations. You thrive in a collaborative environment and are comfortable working with diverse teams across various domains, including finance and engineering.

What you'll do

As a Trade Compliance Specialist at OpenAI, you will manage the sanctions compliance program, ensuring that it meets the needs of a rapidly evolving technology landscape. You will be responsible for designing and optimizing compliance workflows that are embedded into business operations. Collaborating closely with teams across Finance, Integrity, and Engineering, you will implement sanctions screening and controls that are essential for the company's operations.

You will monitor compliance metrics and continuously improve processes to ensure that OpenAI remains compliant with global regulations. Your role will involve real ownership of compliance systems, allowing you to make a significant impact on the company's operations. You will also engage with adjacent trade compliance areas, including export controls and import compliance, ensuring a comprehensive approach to compliance across the organization.
