Overview

Google is hiring a NPI Operations Program Manager to lead complex projects in Machine Learning and Supply Chain. You'll coordinate cross-functional teams and manage production transitions in Taipei. This position requires 5+ years of experience in program management.

Job Description

Who you are

You have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. With 5 years of experience in program or project management, you have a solid background in Supply Chain and New Product Introduction (NPI) in Hardware Manufacturing. Your expertise extends to Contract Manufacturing and Electronic/Mechanical Assembly, making you well-equipped to handle the complexities of this role.

You possess a Master's degree or equivalent practical experience in Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations Engineering, or another relevant field. Additionally, you have 2 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects, showcasing your ability to lead diverse teams towards common goals. Your familiarity with Machine Learning (ML) and GPU manufacturing adds a valuable dimension to your skill set, enabling you to navigate the technical aspects of the projects you manage.

What you'll do

As a Program Manager at Google, you will lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. Your role involves working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You will coordinate efforts across various offices, time zones, and hemispheres, ensuring that all players are informed about progress and deadlines.

You will be responsible for ensuring successful production transitions that meet program goals. This includes managing ramp readiness with internal teams and external partners, focusing on material availability, cost, assembly, test, BOM, capacity readiness, and transition plans. Your leadership will drive cross-functional teams to optimize the supply chain for specific strategic reasons, while also accounting for risks and changes in schedule or demand.
