Who you are
You have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience and at least 2 years of experience designing solutions that enhance the privacy posture of organizations. You are skilled in analyzing and assessing engineering designs, influencing stakeholders, and applying privacy technologies such as differential privacy and automated access management solutions. You have experience customizing existing solutions and frameworks to meet organizational needs, and you are knowledgeable about common regulatory frameworks like GDPR and CCPA.
You excel in balancing risks in ambiguous situations while managing multiple high-priority requests. Your ability to determine resource allocation effectively allows you to solve problems in a changing organization. You are a strong communicator who can work cross-functionally with product teams and other stakeholders to integrate privacy considerations into product design and development processes.
What you'll do
As a Privacy Engineer at Google Cloud, you will be responsible for safeguarding user data and ensuring responsible data management practices. You will work closely with product teams to integrate privacy considerations into product design, development, and launch processes. Your role will involve identifying, designing, and implementing privacy-enhancing solutions for Google Cloud, as well as tooling and automation solutions for Cloud Privacy. You will provide subject matter expertise to engineering teams within Google Cloud, identifying and escalating potential privacy concerns while advising on technical privacy trade-offs. You will conduct privacy reviews and consultations, collaborating with counterparts from security, legal, and engineering to ensure compliance and governance.
