Who you are

You have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. With 5 years of experience designing mechanical components such as plastic or metal parts, mechanical assemblies, printed circuit boards, or flexes, you have a strong foundation in product design. You are proficient in using computer-aided design (CAD) tools such as 3D MCAD, NX, Creo, or SolidWorks, which are essential for your role. Your experience includes shipping multiple consumer products in a lead or executive engineer role, showcasing your ability to manage complex projects from concept to production.

You possess knowledge in various manufacturing methods used in consumer products and have experience collaborating with suppliers around the world on part manufacturing and final assembly. Your expertise extends to system integration, including electro-mechanical components such as audio, display, camera, and antenna, as well as considerations for waterproofing, thermals, grounding, and product architecture. You thrive in a fast-paced multi-disciplinary team environment, using your creativity and engineering experience to explore solutions to a variety of engineering problems.

What you'll do

As a Senior Product Design Engineer, you will participate in the design, analysis, and prototyping of new concepts for Pixel consumer products. You will drive individual parts from concept to production, collaborating with suppliers of subsystems or individual parts throughout the design and manufacturing process. Your role involves identifying the root cause of design, manufacturing, or reliability issues and developing corrective actions to ensure product quality. You will balance design considerations such as functionality, sustainability, reliability, human factors, manufacturability, and aesthetics, ensuring that the final product meets high standards of excellence.
