You hold a PhD in Computer Science or a related field, complemented by at least 6 years of experience managing research agendas across multiple teams or projects. Your background includes a track record of scientific publications submitted to conferences, journals, or public repositories, showcasing your contributions to the research community. You have coding experience in Python, JavaScript, R, Java, or C++, which you have utilized to implement complex algorithms and models in your research work.

You have a strong ability to lead multiple research efforts and influence research direction, with at least 4 years of experience in this capacity. Your coding skills in Python, JavaScript, R, Java, or C++ have been applied in practical settings, allowing you to prototype and implement innovative solutions effectively. You are passionate about applying the latest theories to develop new and improved products, processes, or technologies, and you thrive in collaborative environments where you can engage with both internal and external stakeholders.

What you'll do

As a Senior Staff Research Scientist at Google Cloud AI, you will set up large-scale tests and deploy promising ideas quickly and broadly, managing deadlines and deliverables. You will apply your expertise in machine learning, data mining, and natural language processing to tackle real-world problems that span the breadth of computer science. Your role will involve creating experiments and prototyping implementations, as well as designing new architectures that enhance Google's research capabilities.

You will actively contribute to the wider research community by sharing and publishing your findings, ensuring that your work has a significant impact on both internal projects and the broader field of AI. You will identify timelines and obtain resources needed for your research initiatives, while also engaging with stakeholders and leaders to address undefined problems in existing technology.
