You hold a PhD in Electrical and Electronics Engineering or have equivalent practical experience, and you have at least 2 years of experience in software development using C++. Your background includes a solid understanding of data structures and algorithms, which you have applied in real-world scenarios. You are familiar with performance modeling and analysis, and you have experience in workload characterization. Your expertise extends to applying machine learning techniques and inference usage models on hardware, showcasing your ability to innovate in the field of CPU architecture.

You possess a deep understanding of CPU architecture disciplines, including branch prediction, prefetching, value prediction, and caching policies. You are passionate about pushing boundaries and developing custom silicon solutions that enhance the performance and efficiency of products used by millions worldwide. You thrive in a collaborative environment and are eager to contribute to groundbreaking research that shapes the future of hardware experiences.

What you'll do

As a CPU Workload Analysis Researcher within Google Cloud's MSCA organization, you will be integral to developing silicon solutions that power Google's direct-to-consumer products. Your role will involve conducting in-depth research on CPU optimization, feature development, and machine learning applications over compute platforms. You will analyze and profile workload requirements within the Google Cloud environment, identifying key areas for investment and future opportunities.
