Job Description

Who you are

You have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related technical field, along with 5 years of experience in designing and securing multi-cloud environments, including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS. Your background includes working as an SOC analyst, engaging in malware research, and threat hunting, where you've utilized EDR and SIEM technologies effectively. You have experience leading incident response activities and are familiar with modern cloud-native architectures, including containerization technologies like Kubernetes and Docker.

You possess certifications in one or more of the following: CompTIA Security+, CompTIA Network+, ISC2 (CISSP), SANS-GIAC (GSEC, GCIH, GCED, GCFA, GCIA, GNFA, GPEN, GWAPT), CISCO (CCNA), and EC-Council (CEH, LPT). Your knowledge extends to scripting languages such as PowerShell and Python, and you understand security controls for common platforms and devices, including Linux and network equipment. You excel in engaging and collaborating with client stakeholders to manage resolution for security issues.

What you'll do

As a Cyber Defense Analyst, you will enable efficient and accurate incident response activities within a Cyber Defense Center (CDC). You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Security Architects, Security Engineers, and Client IT resources, to define requirements and provide consultation for the deployment and operations of Google SecOps in client environments. Your role will involve acting as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Cloud Forensics and Incident Response, advising client Security Operations Centers (SOC) on methodologies and techniques. You will be responsible for driving resolution for security issues and ensuring that incident response activities are conducted effectively.
