Who you are
You have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience, along with 10 years of experience working on competition policy issues at various organizations such as law firms, think tanks, or regulatory agencies. Your background includes engaging with government stakeholders and regulators, demonstrating your ability to navigate complex political landscapes. You possess a deep understanding of competition policy and related legal and economic subjects, allowing you to provide expert advice on compliance matters. You are a collaborative team player who can manage cross-functional projects effectively, adapting to changes in a fast-paced environment. Your strong analytical and communication skills enable you to articulate complex ideas clearly, both in writing and public speaking.
What you'll do
As a Competition Policy Manager at Google, you will be part of the Government Affairs and Public Policy team, working globally across various regions and product areas. Your role will involve advocating for Google by coordinating proactive external engagement with government officials and regulatory authorities on critical competition matters. You will provide expert, risk-focused advice on competition law and policy issues to product, legal, and public relations teams, ensuring compliance across new and existing Google services. You will also be responsible for managing various campaigns and initiatives, bringing external perspectives back into the company to inform its direction and perception.
