Job Description
Who you are
You have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience, along with 10 years of experience in cloud native architecture within a customer-facing or support role. Your background includes designing, developing, and deploying solutions that leverage or integrate generative AI, and you are well-versed in software and cloud-based compliance requirements such as FedRAMP and CMMC. You excel at engaging with technical stakeholders and presenting to executive leaders in the public sector, showcasing your ability to communicate complex concepts effectively.
Your qualifications include a Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field, which enhances your understanding of the technical landscape. You have experience supporting National Security customers and possess a solid grasp of security concepts, including encryption, identity management, and access control. Additionally, your knowledge of networking concepts such as software-defined networking, routing, virtual private networks, load balancers, and firewalls is a significant asset.
What you'll do
As a Customer Engineer in the federal public sector space, you will partner with technical Sales teams to differentiate Google Cloud to our customers. Your role involves helping prospective and existing customers and partners understand the power of Google Cloud, developing creative cloud solutions and architectures to solve their business challenges. You will engage in proofs-of-concept and troubleshoot any technical questions and roadblocks that arise in customer and partner environments.
You will guide customers through assessments of existing legacy application environments and provide recommendations on a prioritization roadmap for infrastructure and application modernization. Your expertise will allow you to recommend integration strategies, enterprise architectures, platforms, and application infrastructure required to successfully implement a complete solution on Google Cloud. Your ability to influence and communicate cross-functionally at the C-level within prospect companies will be crucial to your success in this role.
