Who you are

You have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience and at least 5 years of experience in embedded development — your background includes programming in C or C++, and you have a strong understanding of embedded operating systems. You are knowledgeable about power management for embedded mobile devices and hardware subsystems, including application processors, multimedia, Graphics Processing Units (GPUs), modems, and WiFi.

With 8 years of experience in the field, you have a proven track record of enhancing software for power and performance improvements. You are familiar with SQL for interpreting data collections and have a solid understanding of the Linux kernel and Android system. Your expertise in embedded software system design allows you to tackle complex challenges effectively.

What you'll do

As a Senior Embedded Engineer at Google, you will analyze and improve the software running across various components of the chip-set, including the Central Processing Unit (CPU), GPU, Memory Subsystem, and Connectivity. You will debug and resolve battery drain issues while collaborating with Android application teams to optimize power consumption. Your role will involve developing tools and tests for validating and monitoring power consumption, ensuring that our products meet high-performance standards.

You will work on critical projects that contribute to Google's mission of changing how billions of users connect and interact with information. Your technical expertise will be essential in driving innovation and enhancing the user experience across our devices.
