Who you are
You have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience and at least 10 years of experience in quota-carrying cloud or software sales, or account management at a B2B software company. Your expertise includes engaging with accounts and promoting a portfolio of products at the C-level, particularly within the New York State, Local, and Education (SLED) sectors. You have a proven track record of cultivating C-level relationships and influencing executives to drive business outcomes.
You are skilled in promoting cloud solutions, infrastructure software, databases, analytic tools, or applications software. Your experience includes supporting large enterprise organizations, growing existing customer bases, and acquiring new logos at scale to increase spend and accelerate consumption business. You excel in working with cross-functional teams and partners during implementations and negotiations, ensuring a seamless experience for clients.
Your background includes commercial and legal negotiations, collaborating with Procurement, Legal, and Business teams. You have worked closely with customer engineers and technical leads to inventory software estates, define migration plans, and build compelling migration business cases. Your ability to manage business cycles and present to C-level executives sets you apart in this competitive field.
Desirable
Experience in the public sector is a plus, as is familiarity with the specific needs and challenges faced by government and educational institutions. You are comfortable navigating complex sales processes and have a strategic mindset that allows you to identify and capitalize on business growth opportunities.
What you'll do
In this role, you will drive business development efforts within the public sector, focusing on maximizing business impact for Googleβs solutions. You will manage the entire business cycle, from initial engagement to closing deals, while presenting to C-level executives and discussing terms that align with their strategic goals. Your responsibilities will include forecasting accurately and achieving sales goals by leading customers through the entire business cycle.
You will collaborate with multiple teams and Google Partners to ensure that solutions are tailored to meet the unique needs of public sector customers. Your role will involve not only selling but also educating clients on the benefits of Googleβs offerings, helping them accelerate their digital transformations. You will be instrumental in building long-term relationships that foster trust and drive ongoing business.
