Job Description
Who you are
You hold a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a specialized field, and you have at least 4 years of experience in camera actuator control, firmware development, or system validation. Your expertise includes working with Voice Coil Motor (VCM) driving and sensing technologies, including linear or Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) driving methods, Hall/Tunnel Magnetoresistance (TMR) sensors, and the I2C protocol. You are skilled in linear and nonlinear control system design utilizing integrated driver Integrated Circuits (ICs), and you have experience with various VCM architectures, such as spring-type, ball-type, and guide-type AF/OIS mechanisms.
You may also have a Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or a related field, and you have experience in a leadership role without direct reports or in a people management role. Your background includes working with AF/OIS/VA technology stacks, including driver ICs, control algorithms, and production line yield optimization. You are adept at measuring and optimizing settling time, frequency response (FRA), linearity, or OIS suppression ratio, and you can communicate fluently in English to interact with global stakeholders.
What you'll do
In this role, you will lead the development and implementation of camera actuator firmware and control systems. You will define calibration strategies and enhance performance, ensuring industry-leading Auto focus and Optical Image Stabilization capabilities. Your responsibilities will include implementing corrective actions to resolve electromechanical issues and developing automated frameworks for measurement and data analysis using Python to enhance validation efficiency. You will also define and execute camera actuator calibration strategies, compensation algorithms, and performance troubleshooting.
