Job Description
Who you are
You have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. With 5 years of silicon engineering experience, you have a strong background in designing or integrating analog PHY designs such as PCIe, UCIe, or HBM PHYs. Your expertise extends to design integration flows and requirements, making you a valuable asset in the engineering team.
You may also hold a Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science, with a focus on computer architecture. With 10 years of silicon engineering experience, you have a deep understanding of analog mixed signal designs, including high-speed IOs, sensors, and PLLs. You are skilled in writing design specifications and coordinating designs through the entire silicon product lifecycle.
In this role, you will work to shape the future of AI/ML hardware acceleration, driving the development of custom silicon solutions that power Google's TPU technology. Your ability to coordinate execution across multiple cross-functional teams will be crucial as you contribute to the innovation behind products loved by millions worldwide.
What you'll do
As a Mixed Signal IP Integration Engineer, you will drive Mixed Signal IP selection and procurement, owning the planning and roadmap definition for Mixed Signal IPs. You will coordinate the pre-silicon integration strategy of Mixed Signal IPs and work closely with teams in Design, Verification, Physical Design, DFT, and Post-Silicon to ensure successful implementation.
You will assist in post-silicon bring-up and validation of Mixed Signal IPs, leveraging your design and verification expertise to verify complex digital designs. Your focus will be on TPU architecture and its integration within AI/ML-driven systems, ensuring that the silicon solutions developed meet the high standards required for performance and reliability.
What we offer
At Google, you will be part of a silicon design team that is at the forefront of developing cutting-edge ASICs used to accelerate machine learning computation in data centers. You will have the opportunity to work on projects that push the boundaries of technology and contribute to the future of AI/ML applications. We encourage you to apply even if your experience doesn't match every requirement, as we value diverse perspectives and backgrounds in our teams.
