Who you are

You have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience, along with 5 years of programming experience in Python or C++. Your background includes 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products, and at least 1 year of experience with software design and architecture. You are well-versed in ML infrastructure, having spent 3 years working on model deployment, evaluation, optimization, and data processing. Additionally, you have 1 year of experience with state-of-the-art GenAI techniques, such as LLMs and Multi-Modal models, or related concepts like language modeling and computer vision.

You possess a Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field, and you have a strong foundation in data structures and algorithms, with 5 years of experience in this area. Your experience also includes a year in a technical leadership role, and you have developed accessible technologies that enhance user experience. You thrive in environments that require innovative thinking and collaboration across various technical domains.

What you'll do

As a Senior Machine Learning Engineer at Google, you will work on critical projects that shape the future of Google Play. Your responsibilities will include designing and implementing GenAI solutions, leveraging ML infrastructure to evaluate tradeoffs between different techniques and their application domains. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to adapt content based on product updates and user feedback, ensuring that the solutions you develop meet the needs of billions of users.

You will also triage product or system issues, debugging and tracking them by analyzing the sources of issues and their impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality. Your role will involve working on large-scale systems that handle massive amounts of data, contributing to the development of next-generation technologies that change how users connect and interact with information.
