Who you are

You have a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field, along with 8 years of experience working as a Manufacturing Engineer in an industrial environment, particularly within the Data Center space or Automotive production. Your background includes a certification in Six Sigma Black Belt and Lean Manufacturing, showcasing your commitment to quality and efficiency in manufacturing processes.

Your experience encompasses supplier technical evaluations and managing supplier relationships, demonstrating your ability to collaborate effectively with external partners. You are well-versed in engineering and design software for modeling, analysis, and documentation, which allows you to create precise and effective manufacturing plans.

You possess a strong understanding of industry standards, including design guidelines for data center infrastructure, and have a solid grasp of Data Center cooling systems. Your knowledge extends to electromechanical, networking, and mechanical assembly processes, tooling, and equipment, enabling you to lead complex manufacturing projects successfully.

You have a proven ability to conduct data analysis to identify trends, root causes of defects, and measure manufacturing performance. Your leadership skills allow you to mentor junior engineers, fostering their growth and development within the team. You are comfortable with travel, as this role may require up to 30% travel to ensure project success.

What you'll do

In this role, your core mission is to bridge the gap between innovation and execution, ensuring the seamless flow of the product lifecycle from concept to delivery. You will drive product excellence through early engagement, utilizing comprehensive Design for Excellence (DFx) feasibility reviews and vendor capability assessments to eliminate red flag features and guarantee factory readiness. You will ensure operational precision by delivering accurate CapEx and tooling estimates, which are critical for project planning and execution.

You will optimize factory logistics by developing process flow diagrams and material presentation plans, auditing and streamlining how parts reach the production line. Your responsibilities will also include validating test strategies and fixture designs, ensuring fixture design approval signoff, and overseeing the cut-in of engineering changes (ECOs) to re-validate fixtures as needed. Your analytical skills will be crucial in performing pareto analysis and root cause analysis (8D) for any manufacturing issues that arise.
