Who you are

You have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience, along with 5 years of experience in software development using one or more programming languages. You possess a solid understanding of data structures and algorithms, and have spent at least 3 years testing, maintaining, or launching software products. Your experience includes 3 years with large-scale data processing or distributed systems, and you have a year of experience in software design and architecture. A Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field is preferred, along with experience in capacity management, resource allocation, or forecasting systems.

You are well-versed in machine learning infrastructure, GPU serving, launch life cycle management, or experiment analysis. You bring fresh ideas from various areas, including information retrieval, distributed computing, and large-scale system design. You are versatile and display leadership qualities, eager to tackle new problems across different projects.

What you'll do

As a Senior Software Engineer at Google, you will work on critical projects that meet the company's needs, with opportunities to switch teams and projects as the business evolves. You will be responsible for ensuring best practices in coding, including style guidelines, accuracy, testability, and efficiency. Your role will involve contributing to existing documentation and adapting content based on product updates and user feedback. You will also triage product or system issues, debugging and tracking them by analyzing the sources of issues and their impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.
