Who you are

You have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience, along with 8 years of experience in software development. Your background includes 5 years of experience building and developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems, or networks, and you are well-versed in compute technologies, storage, or hardware architecture. You have a strong foundation in software design and architecture, with at least 3 years of experience in these areas. Your experience also includes testing and launching software products, demonstrating your ability to bring projects from conception to completion.

You possess a Master's degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field, which complements your extensive experience. You have a deep understanding of data structures and algorithms, with at least 8 years of hands-on experience. Your technical leadership skills shine through your 3 years of experience leading project teams and setting technical direction in complex, matrixed organizations. You thrive in environments that require collaboration across cross-functional or cross-business projects.

What you'll do

As a Staff Software Engineer at Google, you will work on critical projects that shape the future of Google’s infrastructure.
