You have 5 years of experience in software development, proficient in one or more programming languages such as Python, C, C++, Java, or JavaScript. You are comfortable working in Unix/Linux environments and have a solid understanding of distributed and parallel systems, which allows you to develop scalable and error-tolerant software solutions.
You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with engineering and product management teams to deliver high-quality solutions. Your versatility and leadership qualities enable you to tackle new challenges across the full-stack, contributing to the long-term technical roadmap of your projects. You are enthusiastic about solving real problems and enjoy the process of designing, developing, testing, deploying, maintaining, and enhancing features within the creator success initiative.
What you'll do
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing features that enhance the YouTube Channel Memberships experience for creators. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify new patterns and explore reusable, scalable implementation solutions. Your role will involve contributing to the technical roadmap and ensuring that the software systems you develop can handle information at massive scale.
You will engage in the full software development lifecycle, from initial design through deployment and maintenance. This includes writing clean, efficient code, conducting code reviews, and mentoring junior engineers. You will also be expected to stay updated with the latest technologies and industry trends, applying your knowledge to improve existing systems and processes.
