Who you are
You are currently pursuing a PhD program with a focus in software development or a related technical field. You have experience with one or more general-purpose programming languages such as Java, C/C++, Python, JavaScript, or Go. Your background includes working in Unix/Linux environments, and you possess a solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.
You have research experience in areas such as Algorithms, Architecture, Artificial Intelligence, Compilers, Database, Data Mining, Distributed Systems, Machine Learning, Networking, or Systems. Your programming experience spans multiple languages including C/C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, Python, Objective-C, and Go. You are well-versed in computer science fundamentals, particularly in data structures, algorithms, and software design.
What you'll do
As a Software Engineering intern at Google, you will be a key member of a versatile team, working on projects that are critical to the company's needs. You will design, test, deploy, and maintain software solutions, applying the knowledge gained from your computer science courses to real-world challenges. You will collaborate with peers and managers to develop scalable engineering solutions for Google products, analyzing information and evaluating results to choose the best solutions to effectively solve issues.
