Your expertise includes 5 years of experience in design and architecture, as well as testing and launching software products. You possess a strong understanding of data structures and algorithms, with 8 years of experience in these areas. In addition, you have spent 5 years in a technical leadership role, guiding project teams and setting technical direction. You thrive in complex, matrixed organizations and have experience working on cross-functional or cross-business projects.

You are versatile and enthusiastic about tackling new problems across the full-stack. You bring fresh ideas from various domains, including information retrieval, distributed computing, large-scale system design, networking, data storage, security, artificial intelligence, natural language processing, UI design, and mobile technologies. Your leadership qualities enable you to foster a culture of engineering excellence, reliability, and operational health.

Desirable

A Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field is preferred. You have a strong AI-first mindset that influences your engineering and technical architecture, strategy, and execution.

What you'll do

As a Senior Staff Software Engineer, you will work on critical projects that align with Google’s needs, particularly in the realm of security. You will own the technical vision and strategy for browser-first detection and response, collaborating closely with Google SecOps. Your role will involve enabling the browser as the new security endpoint, ensuring alignment with Chrome Engineering and Workspace product areas.
