Overview

Google is hiring a Technical Program Manager II to lead complex projects in Data Center Networking and Cloud Infrastructure. You'll work with networking technologies and data center infrastructure to manage cross-functional projects. This position requires 2 years of program management experience.

Who you are

You have a Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience, along with at least 2 years of experience in program management. Your background includes working with networking technologies and data center infrastructure, such as power, storage, cooling systems, servers, and racks. You possess excellent problem-solving, communication, and influencing skills, enabling you to effectively manage complex projects and collaborate with diverse teams.

You are comfortable managing cross-functional or cross-team projects and have experience with data center technologies, network architecture, NPI, and deployment planning. Your ability to grow technically and become a subject matter expert is a key asset, as you thrive in environments where you can deepen your knowledge and expertise.

What you'll do

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you will lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You will work closely with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your role will involve participating in New Product Introductions (NPIs) to launch new products and managing the transition of these products into the existing fleet.

You will offer technical guidance across the broader organization, ensuring that new products and processes align with the networking fleet's reliability and interoperability needs. Your responsibilities will include driving the evolution and optimization of cluster network infrastructure to enable the deployability of machines and machine learning capacity within Google's data centers. You will also be responsible for communicating your team's analyses and recommendations to executives while discussing technical trade-offs in product development with engineers.
