You have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience, along with 2 years of experience in technical program or project management. You have a proven track record of managing cross-functional or cross-team projects, ensuring that all stakeholders are aligned throughout the project lifecycle. Your understanding of architectural dependencies allows you to discuss technical blockers effectively with engineering teams, fostering collaborative relationships across Engineering, Product, and UX teams.

You thrive in ambiguous situations, adeptly identifying risks and managing dependencies while creating structured approaches to project management. Your excellent communication skills enable you to provide updates to project stakeholders clearly and concisely, ensuring everyone is informed and engaged. You believe that a problem isn’t truly solved until it’s resolved for all, which aligns with Google's mission to create opportunities for everyone.

What you'll do

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you will lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from initiation to launch. You will work closely with stakeholders to plan project requirements, identify potential risks, and manage project schedules effectively. Your role will involve navigating ambiguity and ensuring that all necessary safety, legal, privacy, and regulatory checkpoints are addressed and documented to facilitate compliant launches.

You will utilize data-driven frameworks, project management tools, and Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) to track program health and progress. Maintaining up-to-date project documentation, including project plans, meeting notes, and status reports, will be essential to your success. You will also be responsible for providing updates to project stakeholders, ensuring that communication remains clear and effective throughout the project lifecycle.
