Who you are
You have a Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience, along with 5 years of experience in program management. Your background includes consumer hardware reliability engineering, and you are well-versed in Design for Manufacturability and Design for Assembly. You have a proven track record of managing cross-functional or cross-team projects, demonstrating your ability to collaborate effectively across various stakeholders.
Your experience with reliability testing methods, such as HALT/HASS, environmental testing, and life testing, sets you apart. You are skilled in applying quality methodologies, including Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), tolerance analysis, and statistical process control. You understand that a problem isnβt truly solved until itβs resolved for all, which drives your commitment to quality in product development.
What you'll do
As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you will lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish, utilizing your technical expertise to guide teams through the project lifecycle. You will work closely with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your role will involve aligning quality metrics with overarching business goals and translating data-driven insights into actionable design, process, and supplier improvements.
You will collaborate with teams to drive root cause analysis and corrective actions on launched programs, ensuring that you stay informed on the latest advancements in design, reliability engineering, field quality, manufacturing processes, and vendor capabilities. Your ability to explain analyses and recommendations to executives, as well as discuss technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers, will be crucial to your success in this role.
