Google is hiring a Technical Program Manager to lead complex projects in edge serving capacity delivery. You'll leverage your expertise in network capacity planning and work with stakeholders to manage project schedules and risks. This position requires 5+ years of experience in program management and network infrastructure.

Who you are

You have a Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience, along with 5 years of experience in program management. Your background includes 5 years of experience in network capacity planning, internet infrastructure, deployment planning, or network protocols and troubleshooting. You have also worked with ISPs and peering, giving you a solid understanding of the networking landscape.

Your technical expertise allows you to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You are comfortable explaining analyses and recommendations to executives while also discussing technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers. You possess strong problem-solving skills and the ability to design and facilitate the implementation of large-scale networking data centers.

Desirable

Experience with SQL, data analysis, automation, and workflow systems is preferred. You understand the importance of managing risks specific to edge capacity delivery, such as hardware delays, site access issues, power constraints, and potential disruptions during upgrades.

What you'll do

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you will lead the execution of peering projects, ensuring tasks are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality. You will work closely with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, and manage project schedules. Your role will involve aligning project activities with the overall peering strategy and goals of the organization.
