Who you are
You have a Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience, along with 5 years of experience in program management. Your background includes 5 years of experience in submarine cable systems or the telecommunications industry, showcasing your deep understanding of this specialized field. You are proficient in Salesforce for agreement management and other project tracking tools, which enables you to effectively manage project workflows.
Your experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects has equipped you with excellent problem-solving and communication skills. You can construct, articulate, and defend messages or insights derived from your analyses, ensuring that all stakeholders are aligned and informed. You believe that a problem isnβt truly solved until itβs resolved for all, which reflects your commitment to comprehensive solutions.
What you'll do
As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you will lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You will work closely with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your role will involve collaborating with the Global Submarine Networks (GSN) team, which designs, builds, and operates the subsea network used by Google to provide its products and services.
You will ensure that customers receive the specific technical solutions they purchased and that these solutions are operationally supportable by working with Network Delivery and Service Management teams. Managing the technical handoff and documentation process for customer deliveries will be a key responsibility, including the preparation of detailed engineering specifications. Your ability to explain technical trade-offs in product development to engineers and articulate analyses to executives will be crucial for success in this role.
