You possess deep expertise in Grafana and its associated technologies, including Mimir, Loki, and Tempo. You have a solid grasp of database management and are skilled in designing scalable solutions that meet the needs of a diverse user base. Your experience includes optimizing performance and ensuring reliability in cloud-based environments.

You are a proactive problem solver who enjoys tackling complex challenges and finding innovative solutions. Your communication skills enable you to articulate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. You are passionate about contributing to an open-source legacy and fostering a collaborative culture.

Desirable

Experience with cloud infrastructure and managed services is a plus. Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools beyond Grafana can enhance your candidacy. You may also have experience in leading projects or mentoring junior engineers, which would be beneficial in this role.

What you'll do

As a Senior Software Engineer on the Managed Services team, you will be responsible for owning and operating shared infrastructure that powers Grafana Cloud's database products. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and maintain scalable database solutions that meet the needs of thousands of users.

You will engage in hands-on development, focusing on enhancing the performance and reliability of Grafana's database offerings. Your role will involve troubleshooting complex issues, optimizing existing systems, and implementing new features that align with user needs and business goals.
