Job Description
Who you are
You have a strong background in embedded software and firmware engineering, with a focus on silicon validation and bringup. Your experience spans over 5 years in developing and debugging tests in bare metal C/C++ on FPGA/Emulator, and you are well-versed in deploying silicon validation tests on first silicon. You possess a deep understanding of memory technologies such as LPDDR, DDR, and HBM, and have worked with various peripherals including I2C, I3C, and SPI. Your knowledge of mixed-signal building blocks and IC control/communication protocols is highly desirable, and you have experience with Arm CPUs and System IP.
You are skilled in developing automated test frameworks and regression test suites in Python, optimizing validation efficiency through your technical expertise. You thrive in collaborative environments, providing technical guidance to other engineering team members and ensuring effective communication across teams. Your analytical skills enable you to conduct characterization, failure analysis, and statistical analysis effectively.
Desirable
Experience with advanced debugging tools and methodologies is a plus, as is familiarity with AMBA protocols. You are passionate about continuous improvement and are eager to leverage your industry knowledge to enhance test infrastructure and processes.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be a key player in the Post-Silicon Validation team, responsible for bringing first silicon to life and functionally validating it. You will collaborate closely with various teams to ensure the silicon becomes a fully characterized and working product. Your responsibilities will include planning, designing, and developing silicon validation tests, as well as debugging them to ensure optimal performance. You will also deploy these tests on first silicon, playing a crucial role in the product introduction process.
You will have the opportunity to architect and drive the implementation of continuous improvements to the test infrastructure and processes, enhancing the overall efficiency of the validation efforts. Regularly reporting project status and progress to program management will be part of your duties, ensuring transparency and alignment across teams.
