Who you are

You have 12-14 years of experience in engineering, particularly in silicon verification within the CPU and/or ASIC environments. Your background includes proven leadership and planning skills, making you highly influential among colleagues as you explain complex concepts with ease. You are a highly motivated team player who thrives in collaborative settings, working across teams and programming languages to achieve results. Your verification experience in the relevant industry has equipped you with a deep understanding of the verification process, and you are adept at providing feedback to architects and ensuring good communication between sites.

You are familiar with verification planning, specification, and closure of functional coverage, and you have a strong grasp of test generation and failure diagnosis/triage. Your technical skills include proficiency in System Verilog, Python, and C++, along with experience in Linux environments. You also have knowledge of UVM, SVA, and various assembly languages, which enhances your ability to contribute to shared verification infrastructure.

Desirable

While not mandatory, experience with LLVM, GCC, and DVCS tools like Git is a plus. Familiarity with XML, XPath/XSLT, and web programming languages such as HTML/DOM, JavaScript, and SQL will further strengthen your profile. You are eager to learn and adapt to new technologies, and you are committed to continuous improvement in your work.

What you'll do

As a Principal Silicon Verification Engineer at Graphcore, you will be responsible for leading verification activities within the silicon verification team. Your role will involve ensuring that the RTL created by the logical design team aligns with the architecture specifications for Graphcore silicon. You will engage in verification planning and contribute to the specification and closure of functional coverage, ensuring that quality standards are met.

You will provide valuable feedback to architects and facilitate effective communication between different sites, fostering collaboration across teams. Your responsibilities will also include test generation and failure diagnosis/triage, where you will leverage your technical expertise to identify and resolve issues efficiently. You will play a key role in contributing to the shared verification infrastructure, enhancing the overall verification process.
