Who you are
You have a strong background in security operations and incident response, with at least 5 years of experience in a security engineering role. Your expertise in AWS and Linux allows you to effectively monitor security tools and logs, identifying potential threats before they escalate. You are proficient in Python, enabling you to automate security processes and improve efficiency. Your understanding of compliance management ensures that you can accurately fill out IT security questionnaires and respond to customer inquiries with confidence.
You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with Go-To-Market, product, engineering, and IT teams to enhance the overall security posture of the organization. Your communication skills are top-notch, allowing you to convey complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders. You are committed to continuous learning and growth, always seeking to improve your craft and stay updated with the latest security trends and technologies.
What you'll do
In this role, you will continuously monitor security tools and logs to identify potential threats, investigating alerts and coordinating with engineering or DevOps teams for incident response. You will be responsible for filling out IT security questionnaires from customers in a timely and accurate manner, ensuring that their concerns are addressed promptly. Your contributions will help build customer trust by providing reliable information and following through with internal teams.
You will also play a key role in improving HackerRank's security posture through execution, documentation, and collaboration. This includes developing and implementing security policies and procedures, conducting security assessments, and participating in incident response activities. You will have the opportunity to mentor junior team members, sharing your knowledge and expertise to help them grow in their roles.
