You have 5+ years of professional experience with JavaScript, React, Next.js, and TypeScript — you've designed and built complex web applications that deliver engaging user experiences. Your expertise extends to backend development, where you write secure, stable, and scalable Python code, ensuring that your applications are robust and efficient.

You are familiar with emerging web standards and have hands-on experience with technologies such as Webcodecs and WebAssembly — you understand how to leverage these tools to create cutting-edge multimedia applications. Your knowledge of video container formats and streaming protocols, including MP4, MKV, HLS, and MP-DASH, allows you to implement effective solutions for video processing and delivery.

You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with design and product teams to set and deliver on project goals — your strong communication skills enable you to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders effectively. You are passionate about integrating machine learning models into applications, particularly in deploying them on NVIDIA hardware, and you are eager to contribute to innovative projects that push the boundaries of technology.

What you'll do

As a Senior Full-Stack Engineer at Hedra, you will design, build, and deploy the frontend and backend services that power our transformative products — your role will involve creating web-based tools for video and audio creation and editing, ensuring they are user-friendly and efficient. You will dive deep into the technical aspects of video processing, utilizing your knowledge of FFMPEG and other relevant technologies to enhance our platform's capabilities.

You will collaborate with a team of passionate engineers and top researchers, contributing to the development of our Character-3 foundation model — your work will directly impact the evolution of AI-driven content creation. You will also be responsible for building and deploying backend services and APIs to our Kubernetes infrastructure, ensuring that our applications are scalable and maintainable.

In addition to your technical responsibilities, you will mentor junior engineers, sharing your knowledge and experience to help them grow in their careers — you will lead code reviews and contribute to the overall improvement of our engineering practices. Your role will require you to stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies, continuously seeking ways to enhance our products and processes.
