You have a strong background in managing databases, particularly with PostgreSQL, and are familiar with best practices for data management and security. Your experience with CI/CD processes enables you to streamline deployment and improve the development workflow for engineering teams. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with product engineers to enhance the overall infrastructure.

You are detail-oriented and have a proactive approach to identifying potential issues before they impact service availability. Your ability to implement observability and alerting systems ensures that you can respond quickly to incidents and maintain high service uptime. You are passionate about building resilient systems and enjoy tackling complex challenges in cloud infrastructure.

Desirable

What you'll do

As a Senior/Staff Infrastructure Engineer at Hedra, you will take ownership of the production infrastructure that supports our innovative generative media platform. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the reliability, availability, and operability of our core Python web services running on AWS. You will design and implement robust deployment patterns on Kubernetes, optimizing our cloud infrastructure for performance and cost-effectiveness.

You will work closely with product engineers to enhance the development experience, focusing on improving CI/CD processes and runtime configurations. Your role will involve troubleshooting production issues and implementing solutions that enhance system resilience during traffic spikes and incidents. You will also be responsible for establishing observability practices, ensuring that we have the necessary metrics and alerts in place to monitor system health effectively.

Collaboration is key in this role, as you will partner with various stakeholders to balance speed, reliability, and complexity in our infrastructure. You will contribute to architectural discussions and help shape the future of our infrastructure as we scale our services. Your hands-on experience will be invaluable in guiding the team through technical challenges and ensuring that our infrastructure supports our ambitious goals.
