What you'll do

In this role, you will lead flight test planning and execution for high-Mach and hypersonic aircraft. You will develop test plans that outline objectives, methodologies, and safety protocols, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements. During flight tests, you will monitor aircraft performance, collect data, and analyze results to provide insights that inform design improvements and operational strategies.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including design engineers and systems engineers, to ensure that all aspects of the aircraft meet performance specifications. Your role will also involve mentoring junior engineers and providing guidance on best practices in flight testing. You will be responsible for documenting test results and presenting findings to stakeholders, including the Department of Defense, to support ongoing development efforts.
