Overview
Highspot is hiring a Principal Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to lead the design and development of their cloud-based infrastructure. You'll work with AWS, Azure, and Kubernetes to enhance developer workflows and platform capabilities. This role requires deep experience with public clouds and modern infrastructure practices.
Job Description
Who you are
You have extensive experience in cloud infrastructure engineering, particularly with public clouds like AWS and Azure — you've designed and implemented scalable cloud solutions that enhance developer productivity and streamline workflows. Your expertise in Kubernetes allows you to manage container orchestration effectively, ensuring that applications run smoothly and efficiently in cloud environments.
You understand the complexities of cloud infrastructure and have a proven track record of abstracting away these complexities for product teams — your ability to create self-service infrastructure solutions balances speed with safety, empowering teams to innovate without compromising security. You are passionate about driving the adoption of modern infrastructure practices and continuously seek ways to improve developer experiences.
You thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy working closely with cross-functional teams — your strong communication skills enable you to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, fostering a culture of understanding and cooperation. You are committed to creating equitable workspaces and believe in the importance of diversity and inclusion in tech.
Desirable
Experience with infrastructure as code tools and CI/CD pipelines is a plus — familiarity with Terraform or similar tools will help you in automating infrastructure deployment and management. A background in software development can also enhance your ability to understand the needs of product teams and deliver effective solutions.
What you'll do
As the Principal Cloud Infrastructure Engineer at Highspot, you will lead the design and evolution of our cloud-based infrastructure — your role will involve collaborating with product teams to understand their needs and translating those into scalable and secure platform capabilities. You will focus on improving developer workflows by implementing best practices in cloud architecture and infrastructure management.
You will be responsible for abstracting cloud complexities, enabling product teams to focus on building features rather than managing infrastructure — this includes creating self-service tools that allow teams to deploy and manage their applications with ease. Your expertise in AWS and Azure will be crucial in ensuring that our infrastructure is robust, efficient, and cost-effective.
You will also drive the adoption of modern infrastructure practices across the organization — this involves mentoring other engineers, sharing knowledge, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. You will work closely with security teams to ensure that our infrastructure meets compliance and security standards, balancing speed with safety in all deployments.
What we offer
Highspot offers a dynamic work environment where innovation is encouraged and valued — you will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology that transforms sales productivity for millions of users. We believe in creating a culture of belonging and empowerment, where every employee can thrive and contribute to our mission.
We provide competitive compensation and benefits, including opportunities for professional development and growth — our commitment to equity and inclusion means that we actively seek to create a diverse workforce that reflects the communities we serve. Join us in our mission to change the way companies work with sales enablement and make a meaningful impact in the tech industry.
