You have a proven track record in product design leadership, with extensive experience in defining and championing design visions that align with business goals and user needs. Your ability to manage and enhance cohesive design systems ensures consistency across products and platforms, maximizing re-use and development velocity. You are passionate about mentoring and inspiring a team of product designers, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Your strong communication skills enable you to work effectively with cross-functional teams, ensuring that user experience is at the forefront of product development.
Desirable
Experience in fintech or marketplace startups is a plus, as is familiarity with agile methodologies and user-centered design principles. A background in leading design teams through rapid growth phases will help you thrive in this role.
What you'll do
As the Director of Product Design at Hiive, you will own the user experience and interface design of our platform. You will lead a team of in-house product designers, guiding them in creating exceptional user experiences that resonate with our customers. Your responsibilities will include defining the product design vision, ensuring it aligns with our business goals and user needs. You will manage the use and enhancement of a cohesive, scalable design system process, ensuring consistency across products and platforms. You will also mentor and inspire your team, fostering a culture of creativity and collaboration. Collaborating with other members of product leadership, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the user experience and driving innovation within the company.
