Experience with Docker and modern CI/CD practices is a plus, as is familiarity with messaging systems and user notification frameworks. What you'll do

As the Engineering Manager for the Identity & Notifications team, you will lead a group of 5 engineers, guiding them in the design and delivery of critical infrastructure that powers millions of small business users. You will be responsible for defining and executing a 12-month roadmap focused on rolling out a new Identity data model, modernizing Authorization, and improving Authentication systems. You will collaborate closely with Trust & Security, Data, and broader Engineering teams to ensure that the systems you build are secure, fast, and trusted. Your role will involve regular 1:1s with team members to support their professional development and career growth, as well as conducting performance reviews and providing constructive feedback.

You will also play a key role in fostering a culture of technical excellence, encouraging your team to take big swings and celebrate wins together. You will be involved in hiring new talent, ensuring that the team continues to grow and evolve in line with the company's mission. Your leadership will be crucial in maintaining high standards of quality and reliability in the systems you oversee, and you will be expected to stay hands-on with the technology, contributing to code reviews and architectural discussions.
