Who you are

You have senior-level experience in frontend development, particularly with React and TypeScript, and you are skilled at building high-quality web applications from the ground up. You thrive in cross-functional teams, collaborating closely with product managers and fellow engineers to ensure alignment and deliver exceptional user experiences. Your ability to work autonomously while driving thoughtful and creative solutions sets you apart. You are familiar with backend systems, particularly those written in Scala, and have a strong understanding of cloud services, specifically GCP.

Desirable

Experience with payment services and fraud detection technologies is a plus, as is familiarity with digital wallet capabilities. You are comfortable exploring engineering improvements and are proactive in suggesting enhancements to both the product and team processes.

What you'll do

In this role, you will design, build, and review code for the HTS Checkout web frontend, ensuring it meets the highest standards of quality and performance. You will operate autonomously, yet work closely with your team to maintain strong alignment on project goals. Your day-to-day will involve collaborating with product teams to develop new features that enhance the travel experience for users and drive revenue for partners. You will also explore engineering improvements, contributing to a culture of continuous enhancement within the team. Your contributions will directly impact the success of Hopper's hosted checkout solution, which offers global coverage and a comprehensive suite of payment methods.
